Script the beats that need scripting
Not every beat needs writing out. The hook does, the ending does, and the middle usually needs a destination rather than a paragraph. This scripts per beat, so the words live where the structure does.
The problem it solves
The usual setup is a script in one document and a structure in another, and by the shoot they disagree. You end up shooting the script and quietly abandoning the plan, or the reverse, and only finding out in the edit.
What it needs first
- A spine. Script writes into beats, so the beat sheet is what it hangs on.
How it works

What it will not do
- It does not decide structure. If a beat is wrong, fix it in Story; Script writes what the beat asks for.
- Nothing here reaches your footage. This is still the paper stage.

Under the hood
Script is a field on the beat, not a separate collection. That single decision is why the narrative check can work at all: it knows which lines the story depends on because they are attached to the beat that depends on them.

Can I write the script myself?
Yes, and most people do for the beats that matter. Generation is available per beat, not imposed.
Does it write in my voice?
It works from your brand context and, for titles, a swipe file you curate. For script it drafts to the beat intent; the voice is still your editing pass.
What if I improvise something better on the day?
That is normal and the verdict reads what you actually said, not what you planned to say. The plan is a starting point that gets graded against reality, not a contract.
